The 100th Day

2.4.16

One hundred days.

We remember looking at the main board in the NICU lobby, thinking how did these other families make it to 100+ days?  We will never survive.

We blinked. We’re here.  We’re surviving (most days).

What did we even do one hundred and one days ago?

My Dad once told me ‘if you think life moves fast now, just wait until you have a child’.

We look back at the pictures from Jack’s first days in the NICU.  It’s a different baby.  It’s a different couple.  It’s a different life.

Life is so much better on the 100th day.

The 100th day is a day fit for a king…in a tuxedo onesie…with a crown…propped on his boppy throne surrounded by his Winthrop family.

Jack- Happy 100th day!  Thank you for being ours.  Here’s to celebrating every moment life has to offer, even if it’s the 100th day in an intensive care unit!
