I’ve loved Bruce for over a decade.  Today, in this very moment, I love him the most.

This picture is me looking through our isolette over the body of our one pound baby boy.  Bruce is reading the first chapter of Harry Potter.  He didn’t ask me if I thought it was a good idea, he just said “I’m going to read to baby Jack a chapter every day.” He never wavered over this baby. He dove in. He was meant to be a Dad and maybe we were given this opportunity to love Jack a few extra months on the outside because the world knew Bruce could handle it and had the love to give.

These past few days have been the start of a chapter in our lives together that I keep wishing I could skip over.  Today was the first day I realized, no matter what happens along this journey, the three of us are in this together. We are a family now.  We are each other’s hearts.
